The terms that apply to NJNSA.com and to the notary, signing and
field services we provide.
Effective October 9, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NJNSA.com and the services provided by
New Jersey Notary Signing Agency (“NJNSA,” “we,” “us”). By using
this website, requesting an appointment, registering as a client, or registering to join our notary
network, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our services
NJNSA provides mobile notary services, notary signing agent services for real estate and loan closings,
and field services including inspections, audits, I-9 authorized representative services, door
knocking, same-day DBA filing, FAA Part 107 drone services and Part 107 pilot tutoring.
Service area. We serve New Jersey, New York City,
Upstate New York and Long Island. Availability of a specific service,
date or location is confirmed when we accept your request.
3. Not legal advice
NJNSA is not a law firm. Our notaries are not attorneys licensed to practice law in
New Jersey or New York and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.
We cannot prepare, draft, select or explain the legal effect of documents, or tell you which document
you need or how to complete it. Questions about the content or effect of a document should be directed
to your attorney, lender, title company or the party that prepared it.
4. Appointments & scheduling
A request submitted through our website is not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is
confirmed only when we confirm it with you in writing by email or text.
New Jersey: service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Office hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; outside office hours, service is by appointment only.
New York City, Upstate New York and Long Island: service is available during
business hours, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Outside business hours, service is by appointment only.
After-hours notaries are available in some areas; contact us to confirm availability for your
location and time.
We aim to respond to requests within 1–12 hours. For faster service, call or text
212-777-4637.
Please provide accurate signer names, contact details, addresses and document information so we can
prepare and arrive on time.
5. Fees & payment
Your fee, including any add-ons such as witnesses, scan backs, document printing, a second location,
or rush and after-hours service, is confirmed with you before the appointment is scheduled.
Amounts entered in our booking form are offers or estimates until we confirm them.
Fees for notarial acts follow the limits set by applicable state law. Travel, convenience and other
service fees are separate and are agreed in advance.
Payment is due according to the payment terms agreed for your appointment or account. Business
accounts approved for invoicing agree to pay invoices according to the terms stated on the
invoice.
Please tell us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. If an appointment is cancelled
after a notary or field agent has been dispatched, or if a signing cannot be completed for reasons
outside our control (for example, a signer is not present, documents are missing or incomplete, or a
signer cannot provide acceptable identification), a trip fee may apply as agreed when the appointment
was confirmed.
7. Identification & refusal of service
Every signer must present current, valid, government-issued photo identification. As required by law, a
notary may decline to perform a notarial act if:
the signer’s identity cannot be satisfactorily verified;
the signer appears not to understand the document or not to be signing willingly;
the document is incomplete or appears altered or fraudulent; or
performing the act would violate the law or the notary’s professional obligations.
A notarization verifies the identity of the signer. It does not verify the truth, accuracy or legality of
the document’s contents.
8. Field, inspection & drone services
Inspection and audit reports, photos and videos reflect the conditions we observed at the time of the
visit, within the scope you requested. They are not a licensed home inspection, appraisal,
engineering report or legal opinion.
Drone services are flown by an FAA Part 107 certified Remote Pilot in accordance with FAA rules.
Flights depend on weather, airspace authorization and safety conditions and may be rescheduled when
flying would be unsafe or not permitted.
Part 107 tutoring prepares students for the FAA Remote Pilot knowledge test. We cannot guarantee a
passing score; the test is administered by the FAA and its approved testing centers.
9. Client accounts
By registering as a client, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are
authorized to request services on behalf of any business you list.
You are responsible for keeping your contact and billing information current.
Registration does not obligate you to place orders, and it does not obligate us to accept every
request.
Marketing messages are sent only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
10. Notary network (independent contractors)
These terms apply to notaries and field agents who register to join the NJNSA network.
Independent contractor. Network members are independent contractors, not employees,
partners or agents of NJNSA, and are responsible for their own taxes, equipment and expenses.
No guarantee of work. Registration and approval do not guarantee any number of
assignments. Each assignment, including its fee, is offered and accepted individually.
Qualifications. You must hold a current notary commission (where notarial acts are
involved), maintain errors and omissions insurance, and complete background screening as requested.
You must tell us promptly if your commission, insurance or eligibility changes.
Professional conduct. You agree to follow all applicable notary laws, keep any
journal or records required by law, arrive on time, and follow the instructions provided for each
assignment.
Confidentiality. Signer information, documents and loan details are confidential.
You may use them only to complete the assignment and must not copy, keep or share them except as
required by law or the assignment instructions.
Payment. You are paid the fee agreed for each completed assignment, on the payment
terms stated when the assignment is offered.
Removal. NJNSA may decline an application or remove a member from the network,
including for inaccurate information, a lapse in commission or insurance, or failure to meet these
standards.
11. Your information
We use the information you submit to respond to you, schedule and perform services, verify
qualifications, and handle billing.
Information is stored with secure service providers, and access is limited to authorized NJNSA
staff. Sensitive details such as tax ID, commission and insurance numbers are used only for
verification and billing.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as needed to deliver your service (for example, with the title company or
lender on your transaction), with providers that help us operate this website and deliver messages,
or when required by law.
To update or delete your information, email NJNSA@NJNSA.com.
Some records may be kept where the law requires it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NJNSA’s total liability for any claim relating to a service
is limited to the fees paid for that service, and NJNSA is not liable for indirect, incidental or
consequential damages, including delays in closing or funding caused by circumstances outside our
control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed,
and the version posted on NJNSA.com applies to services requested after that date.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
